During this section of class we learned about the Lewis structure and how to form ionic and covalent bonds. The Lewis structure helps you see how to combine different elements to form bonds so that the outer most shell is full of valence electrons. We learned that when making a covalent bond which is two nonmetals you must use the prefixes when naming the elements. While Covalent bonds are made of only nonmetals, Ionic bonds must have a metal in them.
